Ready to improve your relationship with food?

Sunshine Coast Dietitian

Hi! I’m Hannah Powter – an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a special interest in women’s health, gut health, disordered eating and supporting people living with a disability. My aim is to provide compassionate and evidence-based guidance and support, to improve your nutrition and (ensure food is balanced and fun!)

Am I the right fit for you?

I strive to be compassionate and informative. I work with people to develop a realistic plan that is grounded in scientific evidence. There is no pressure, and I focus on meeting people where they are at in life - whether that is 100% motivated, or not quite sure if they are ready to make changes. I embrace a non-dieting, intuitive eating model, to encourage a positive relationship with food and the body, while balancing nutritional needs.

How our Dietitian can support you

NDIS Dietitian Support

If you require nutrition support related to your disability, NDIS funds Dietitian support, as specified on the NDIS website, this might include:

  • a dietitian to work with you to create a disability-related meal plan

  • support to help you follow a meal plan

  • HEN and PEG equipment

  • products to help you eat safely and get the nutrition you need like food thickeners

  • support to manage your HEN or PEG.

Our Dietitian has experience working with people living with a range of disabilities, including those requiring a PEG or gastrostomy tube or specific texture modified diets for dysphagia.

Initial assessments: 60-90 minutes

Review consults: 45-60 minutes

Home visits, SIL or telehealth sessions available.

Individual Dietitian Consultations

These tailored nutrition counselling sessions with our Dietitian are great for those wanting personalised advice and a customised plan. If you have a newly diagnosed condition, or want to better manage an existing condition, 1:1 Dietitian consults are ideal. Women’s health nutrition (postpartum, menopause, PCOS, endo), gut issues (such as IBS or coeliac disease), or chronic diseases (such as diabetes or heart disease) are all areas we work with regularly.

All sessions are guided by the principle of getting to the root of your issues, improving your relationship with food, and helping to build confidence to make nutrition decisions on your own!

You can book either a 30 minute or extended 60 minute initial appointment depending on the complexity of your circumstances. If you are unsure of the right option for you, get in touch via email or phone today to discuss.

Sessions are via telehealth, or you can request to see me in clinic at Integrated Wellness Clinic in Mooloolaba (Sunshine Coast).
